Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Bankrupt & Co. is an online T-shirt shop run by humans who occasionally check email.
Our website address is: https://bankruptandco.com
We’re based in the United States, operating out of a laptop, a debit card, and a general distrust of corporate overreach.

2. What We Collect (and Why)

When you browse the site, buy a shirt, or sign up for emails, we collect some information. Not because we want to—trust us, you’re not that interesting. It’s just how websites work.

We collect:

  • Name & email (for orders, confirmations, and newsletters)
  • Shipping info (so your shirt goes to you and not your ex)
  • Payment info (handled by our payment processor—we don’t see your full credit card number)
  • IP address and browser data (to help us understand how people use the site and stop bots from doing weird stuff)

3. How We Use That Data

  • To process and ship your order
  • To email you about stuff you actually signed up for
  • To occasionally check analytics and feel a sense of false accomplishment

We don’t sell your data. Again—and we can’t stress this enough—you are not that interesting.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms to make this store function. Here’s who’s involved:

  • WooCommerce – our e-commerce platform
  • Printful – our print-on-demand provider (they receive your shipping info so they can fulfill orders)
  • Email Provider (Gmail) – for sending you the newsletter you willingly asked for, as well as order related emails
  • Payment Processors (WooPayments) – secure handling of payment details
  • Google Analytics (or similar) – website analytics, so we can see what pages people actually read

These services may collect data under their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies

Yes, we use cookies. Not the kind with chocolate chips.
The kind that helps our site remember things like:

  • What’s in your cart
  • If you’re logged in
  • How many people accidentally clicked “About” instead of “Shop”

You can disable cookies in your browser, but it might make parts of the site stop working or feel broken, like society.

6. Your Rights

If you want to:

  • See what data we have on you
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Or just make sure we’re not spying on you (we’re not)

Email us at chapter11@bankruptandco.com. We’ll respond, probably with a coffee in hand.

7. Changes to This Policy

We might update this privacy policy occasionally, especially if we accidentally learn how to do things better.
If we do, we’ll post the new version here and maybe even mention it in the newsletter.
