Late night experiments with political satire and AI-generated absurdity quickly spiraled into a full-blown phenomenon. Fueled by childhood dreams of writing for Saturday Night Live and the pent-up creative energy that builds between documentary projects, Newberger channeled his manic wit into something weirdly wonderful.

Today, Mr. Newberger’s AI Funnies boasts over 100,000 YouTube subscribers, a following that includes unlikely but enthusiastic fans like Jim Acosta, Josh Gad, and Martina Navratilova (what a combo!).
